PLATFORMA is thrilled to announce the network’s expansion; bringing together now 34 partners with a diversity of know-hows and experiences, PLATFORMA will continue its efforts in advocating and promoting the work of local and regional governments active in development cooperation.

With the addition of these new partners, PLATFORMA is be able to count on many cities, regions and associations active in international cooperation, determined to contribute to the network’s endeavours towards the capacitation and empowerment of local and regional governments in partner countries.

PLATFORMA welcomes seven national associations, namely the Union of Towns and Municipalities of the Czech Republic (SMOCR), the Association of Towns and Communities of Slovakia (ZMOS), the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia (NALAG), the Association of Estonian Cities (EEL), the Association of Ukrainian Cities (AUC), the Congress of Local Authorities from Moldova (CALM) and the National Association of Italian Municipalities (ANCI).

The network likewise salutes the addition of the Majorcan Fund for Solidarity and Cooperation and of the Centre for Public Administration Research of the Austrian Association of Cities (KDZ). Lastly we welcome back the Forum of Regional Governments and Global Associations of Regions (ORU-FOGAR) which represents LRGs and their associations from around the world.
