Mediterranean cities cooperate!The agency for sustainable Mediterranean cities (AVITEM) organises a conference on the topic of “Training and Cooperation: what projects for 2016?”.
Held on January 19 and 20 2016, this third AVITEM meeting focuses on Euro-Mediterranean cooperation projects.
The conference will shed light upon the new “Mediterranean Sea Basin” Programme (ENI CBC Med) currently under preparation. Projects financed by the former programme ENI CBC Med will also be presented, in order to foster future cooperation projects.
WHAT’S AVITEM?
The goal of the Agency for sustainable Mediterranean cities and territories is to help meet the challenge of urban and territorial development through democratic governance in the Mediterranean.
The main objective of the Agency is to establish a mechanism for the exchange of experience, expertise, cooperation and training, to enable promotion integrated and exemplary initiatives of urban and territorial development in the countries of the Union for the Mediterranean.
AVITEM was founded notably by local and regional governments such as the Provence Alpes Cotes d’Azur region, member of PLATFORMA.
