New dates for Franco-Beninese AssisesConsidering the request of the Ministry of Decentralisation and Local Governance in Benin, the Assises of decentralised cooperation organised by Cités Unies France (CUF) will take place on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th of November.
It will be an opportunity to bring together local governments of Benin and their French partners, but also their European counterparts.
Several priority themes were proposed at a preparatory meeting by the French partners. These themes are gathered under three main topics:
- The Municipal Institution (Addressing, urban land registry, planning tools, local taxes, civil registry)
- Public Services (Water & Sanitation, Waste management, Energy & Climate)
- Municipalities’ Support (Local Economic Development, Agriculture, Climate change, Food safety, Youth – employment & citizenship, participation into local affairs
All PLATFORMA members are invited to take part.
