Final publication of the LOCALNETcoop project of Arco LatinoArco Latino presents the final publication of the LOCALNETcoop project: “The learning network: towards a common model of decentralised cooperation”. The objective of the project was the creation of a decentralised cooperation model in the Mediterranean for the members of Arco Latino.
The publication presents the activities carried out and the results obtained, and represents a genuine reflection and teaching instrument.
Besides this publication, the main results of the initiative are:
- an online training course on decentralised cooperation in the Mediterranean for elected representatives and staff of the member institutions of Arco Latino. The material for this training will soon be made available to other local administration to the South and to the North of the Mediterranean;
- different reflection and debate areas on the theme of decentralised cooperation in the Mediterranean, with the participation of local actors, in particular on the occasion of three seminars organised in Barcelona, Montpellier and Turin;
- an inventory of remarkable experiences of decentralised cooperation in the Mediterranean by the members of Arco Latino, available online as an interactive map.
The project, implemented in 2010-2011 by the Arco Latino network in partnership with the Diputació of Barcelona, the Hérault General Council and the Province of Turin, was financed by the programme “Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development”.
