Registrations for the Assises of decentralised cooperation are now open on the Decentralised cooperation portal of the Committee of the Regions.

The event, organised jointly by the Committee of the Regions and the European Commission, will be held for two half-days, on 9 and 10 April, in Brussels. The PLATFORMA members will organise four of the five roundtables on 9 April.

The Association of European Border Regions (AEBR) organises, in cooperation with the Global Local Forum, a roundtable on the role of cross-border and inter-regional cooperation in regional integration.

PLATFORMA and the Catalan Region organises a roundtable on local and regional governments in the post-2015 development framework.

The Diputacio of Barcelona organises a workshop on capacity building of local and regional authorities through decentralised cooperation.

Finally, the European Commission and PLATFORMA organise a session on the future Communication on local and regional authorities, which will be an opportunity to come back to the consultation organised by PLATFORMA in the autumn of 2012.

It should also be noted that Regions United/FOGAR organises an associated event on decentralised cooperation with the Balkan countries, on Wednesday 10 April, on the fringe of Assises.
