The annual meeting of the UCLG Capacity and Institution Building (CIB) Working Group for 2012 is scheduled for 11 - 12 June 2012 in Bergen. The Working Group, which gathers directors and project managers of international departments of local government associations and individual cities, will discuss the developments in the aid architecture and the strengths and weaknesses of decentralized cooperation. Concretely, the meeting will focus on analyzing recommendations of evaluations of municipal international cooperation programmes, on identifying opportunities for cooperation and coordination, and on new modalities of aid, such as south-south cooperation. The UCLG policy paper on development cooperation and the UCLG new strategic agenda on cooperation will be presented and the Working Group will work on the advocacy strategy of these documents.
