The world at a glance

The Pacific Islands Local Government Associations Network (PiLGAN) was launched at the end of the ARIAL good practice seminar in July. The major role of the network is to advocate for the interests of local government associations in the Pacific, in addition to facilitating joint applications to development partners for regional projects. CLGF Pacific is the secretariat for the newly established network and will coordinate its activities. PiLGAN’s members include the Marshall Islands Mayoral Association, the Kiribati Local Government Association, the Local Authority Association of Vanuatu and the Island Government Association of the Cook Islands.
