EU has a strong federating in development aid

The European Union is a unique player in development aid, and has a strong federating role vis-à-vis the 27 Member States. This is one of the main conclusions of the peer review on the development cooperation policies and programmes of the EU conducted by the Development Aid Committee (DAC) of the OECD. Released in April, the peer review was coordinated by Norway and Japan. Conclusions were discussed with the DEVE Committee members on 24th April 2012 at the European Parliament.
